No occupants were inside when firefighters searched the apartment, and the building had been safely evacuated. The apartment where the fire originated was red-tagged and deemed uninhabitable.
Two adult males were displace as a result of the fire and were receiving help from the American Red Cross. Residents of the adjacent apartments were able to return to their units.
