The South Sioux City boys basketball team is the No. 5 seed for the A-2 district tournament that tips off Friday.
The 6-17 Cardinals will play Omaha South (4-18) in the first round Friday at 5:30 p.m. at a site yet to be determined. The winner will face Omaha Westview in the semifinals on Saturday 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to the finals on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m.
The winner of the district tournament advances to the Nebraska Boys State Basketball Championships, set for March 12-15 in Lincoln.
