The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA in South Sioux City announced Friday that CEO Rhonda Robson has been named chair of the Small and Mid-Sized YMCA’s Board of Advisors, a national leadership position supporting YMCAs across the United States.
As chair of the SMY Board of Advisors, Robson will work alongside YMCA leaders nationwide to advocate for small and mid-sized YMCAs, ensuring they have access to the resources, guidance, and partnerships needed to thrive. Her goal is to foster collaboration and provide tailored support to help YMCAs amplify their impact in their communities.
“It’s an honor to represent the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA and serve in this new capacity,” Robson said. “I’m excited to work with fellow leaders to strengthen the entire YMCA movement and ensure all YMCAs, regardless of size, have the tools they need to make a difference in communities they serve.”
Under Robson leadership, the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA has grown as a cornerstone of the Siouxland community, offering innovative programs and expanding its facilities to meet the evolving needs of families. This new role not only reflects her commitment to our Siouxland Y but also highlights her ability to drive positive change on a national scale.
Her appointment is a testament to her nearly 25 years of dedication to the YMCA movement, including seven years of service as CEO of the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA.
