The thermometer screamed in triple digits Saturday, but that didn't stop the community of Dakota City from enjoying its 13th annual Cottonwood Days festival over the weekend.
From the annual softball game beteween the Dakota City firefighters and members of the Dakota County Sheriff's Department to the fun activities taking place in Cottonwood Cover Park, those who participated braved 100-degree temperatures and enjoyed the community's annual event.
