GRAND ISLAND — South Sioux City’s Madelynn Bohnet is tied for 21st after the first day of the Class A State Girls Golf Championships.
The Lady Cardinal senior opened the first day of the 36-hole tournament with a round of 93, shooting a 51 on the front side and 42 on the back at Riverside Golf Club.
She struggled on the front nine, shooting a 51, but played better on the back side, recording three pars and coming in with a 42.
Bohnet is scheduled to tee off Tuesday at 9:50 a.m. for the second day of the tournament.
