South Sioux City Community Schools will host district-wide back-to-school open houses on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 3:30-6 p.m. at each school building. Families with students in preschool through 12th grade are invited and encouraged to attend.
This annual event is a valuable opportunity for students and families to meet classroom teachers and building staff, drop off school supplies and tour classrooms and school facilities.
The school strongly encourages all families to complete the required online forms prior to the open house to help streamline the process. These forms are available on the school’s website under the "Important Back-to-School Information" section at ssccards.org/back2school.
As a reminder, Monday, Aug. 11 is the first day of school for Kindergarten through sixth grade and ninth grade students, with a 12 p.m. early dismissal.
Tuesday, Aug. 12 is the first full day for all K-12 students.
