Ponca’s boys and girls basketball teams will compete in the Mid State Conference tournament that gets under way on Saturday.
The Lady Indians will be in the play-in round on Saturday at Wayne High School, facing Boone Central in a 2:30 p.m. matchup. The winner will move on to Monday’s quarterfinals and will face top-seed Crofton at 6 p.m. at Crofton High School.
The Ponca boys will host one half of the quarterfinal bracket on Tuesaday and will play either Battle Creek or Crofton at 6 p.m. Following that game will be Norfolk Catholic and Boone Central, with winners moving on to the semifinals.
Girls semifinals are Thursday and the boys are Friday at Hartington Cedar Catholic, while consolation games will be at Boone Central. Fifth, third and first-place games will be Saturday at Hartington Cedar Catholic.
